Download Festival 2010 hint at 6 of the 9 bands to be announced

Theres a lot of buzz ahead of the download festival 2010 announcement tonight, and to create even more, download festival booker Andy copping has revealed that a posting from user RockSmart has correctly identified 6 of the 9 bands that will be announced this evening.

The 9 bands posted by RockSmart are:

AC/DC
Wolfmother
Bullet For My Valentine
Motorhead
Them Crooked Vultures
Biffy Clyro
Megadeth
Paramore
Scorpions

We think the announcement will be confirming our rumours – AC/DC, Metallica , with a third slot we cant just settle on.

Other big bands we hope to see this year are Deftones, Killswitch engage and download favourites Devil Driver.

Rise To Remain – basically confirmed, being tentative after being cut off due to the festival being a bit silly in ‘09, can’t see them doing it twice in a row, especially given who their singer’s dad is…
Shinedown – not an outright confirmation, but pretty certain they’ll be there
Soil – not an outright confirmation, but pretty certain they’ll be there
The Rocket Dolls – fourth stage band
