Is there a new System Of A Down Album on the way?

Serj Tankian has just announced that his new studio album is completely recorded and is currently being mixed. Titled Imperfect Harmonies, it will be the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2007 solo debut Elect the Dead. As with Elect the Dead, Tankian is producing Imperfect Harmonies himself at his home studio in Los Angeles. The album will be released by Serjical Strike/Reprise Records in late summer.

With Serj Tankian coming off a touring and album promotion cycle, the rumor mill is churning with news that SYSTEM OF A DOWN will be entering the studio this fall to record a brand new album together. While other band members casually dabble in side-projects, SYSTEM OF A DOWN has been patiently awaiting the return of Serj Tankianto wrap up his personal solo endeavor.
