We had some time with bonded by blood recently at Bloodstock Festival. Neil was supposed to do this interview, but amateur me had to think on my feet!
Debbie: Can you introduce yourselves for our readers please
JERY: I’m Jerry Garcia and I’m the bassist from bonded by blood
Juan: I’m Juan and I play guitar for bonded by blood
[ before the interview they had to all do a beer bong, one of their band members threw up and couldn't participate]
Debbie so how’s your band member
Jerry: awh he’s alright
Debbie: So have you got a new album coming out?
Juan: yeah it came out august 10th in the US. Should be coming out Monday I believe [the Monday after bloodstock] august 17th or 18th I believe
Debbie: what are the lyrics like?
Jerry: well it’s a concept album so it’s based on a story it’s a weird combination of sci-fi and conspiracy theories so erm if your into sci-fi then you’re gunna like it”¦
Debbie: have you guys been meeting a lot of press or other band members?
Juan: Well we came here yesterday, came to hang out for a few hours.. for me I’m meeting a lot of people, it’s my first time here.
Debbie: Are you liking it here? Did you have a beer bong as well?
Juan: well I like it here and I just had one and I feel like, great!
Debbie: If I was going to make a set of trumps cards of bands and their super powers, what powers would you have?
Jerry: I’ve always fantasized about being able to stop time.
Debbie: sorry Neil couldn’t make it, he’s had too much monster and crashed out from that monster high, you know?
Jerry: yeahh !
Debbie: so you guys are doing thrash metal?
Jerry: thrash influenced
Debbie: Do you guys do anything before you go on set like any preparation?
Juan: not really we just kind of just go on like warm up, hang out, play..
Debbie: you seem pretty booked up, how are you finding life on the road do you have a tour bus?
Jerry: we recently just got a van that we are very happy about and it’s really good! It’s got a TV. We have season one to twelve of married with children, and we have season one of futurama, but we want to get them all.
Debbie: How have you found the crowd reactions so far?
Jerry and Juan : it’s great!
Jerry: we basically woke everbody up
Debbie: is this small, medium or large crowd for you”¦ is this the biggest?
Jerry: definitely the biggest .
Debbie: Yays! Have you had any weird questions so far? Any weird ones brought up?
Jerry: we had some weird question, some girl asked me whether I would like to be a zebra or a giraffe?
Debbie: I spoke to them earlier
Jerry: yeah horrible question, many better animals out there instead of a zebra and giraffe!
Debbie: I asked a band how long their shlong was. How long is your shlong, collectively , as a band?
Jerry: collectively??? We don’t look at each others shlongs??
Debbie: I will come by later with a tape measure
Jerry: yeah sure, if you want”¦
Debbie: are you guys camping or in a tour bus then?
Jerry: well no we are just gunna party as hard as we can and as loud as we can, we gotta be at the airport at 6 in the morning.
Debbie: do you get a lot of jet lag?
Jerry: I just got off of it, I get alil jet lag.
Debbie: ok one final question! Have you guys got any promotional prospects on your future? What do you see yourself doing in 10 years time?
Jerry: 10 Years? Fuck.. hopefully doing this.
Debbie: I hope but to be doing this but better 
Jerry: Well hopefully we will see you 10 years from now
Debbie: Thank you and see you in ten years..
