Hardcore Bruisers ’33′ Release New Tracks – Support Black Breath

For a new band, South Wales based bruisers 33 have some pedigree.

Born out of the cream of local bands, 33 was conceived as a vehicle for nihilistic singalong hardcore emulating the likes of Sheer Terror, Blood For Blood and Negative Approach. After alternating bouts of activity and hiatus, a solid line-up cemented and what was previously a sideline for all concerned moved to centre stage mid 2010.

The backbone of the band remains guitarist Graham Rofe from Cardiff City Hardcore stalwarts IRONCLAD and local luminary Benjamin Phillips on vocals. Bunking the Intercity down from London are co-vocalist Anthony Sylvester (ex Dukes Of Nothing) and guitarist Barry Thirlway (ex Strength Alone). The whole thing is anchored by Ironclad drummer Andrew Paget.

Lineup in place, work rate has been rapid – 8 songs recorded with James Atkinson at Mill Studios, Bradford (The Horror, Rot In Hell, Wiley) and a 5 date UK tour booked for late November 2010 w/ Black Breath, Gallows and Rise & Fall amongst others

Stay tuned for more news about their first split release on vinyl.

Here are their upcoming tour dates:

21 NOV – BORDERLINE, LONDON (supporting Black Breath)

22 NOV – CARDIFF MILLENIUM MUSIC HALL (playing with Gallows & Crossbreaker

23 NOV – MANCHESTER MOHO, MANC (playing with Gallows ; Rise & Fall)

24 NOV – THE WELL, LEEDS (playing with Gallows & Dead Swans)
