Reading thrashers and Rock Sins favourites Sylosis have issued the following statement on their MySpace blog:
Rumors have been circulating for a few days now and we can confirm that Jamie is no longer a part of Sylosis.
We’ve felt we’ve been growing apart and pulling in different directions for a while now. It was a tough conclusion to come to but we felt it was best. Being so close to releasing our second album and moving in a slightly new direction we felt it would be best not to record with Jamie and make a fresh start before we go full steam ahead into touring. The band is both thankful and proud of the success shared during Jamie’s time in the band and it wont be forgotten. We wish him the best of luck with his all future endeavors and his label Siege Of Amida.
Sylosis have just been announced to return to the Bohemia stage at Sonisphere Knebworth, site of one of their finest performances to date in 2009. They are also scheduled to play Hevy Festival in Kent in August alongside Sepultura, and are one of the main attractions at Brighton’s Mammoth Fest alongside Orange Goblin and fellow Reading metallers and Rock Sins favourites Malefice.
Stay tuned to Rock Sins for further updates on a new singer and if any of these performances will be affected.
