Live Review: While She Sleeps @ G2, Glasgow

While She Sleeps

While She Sleeps are easily one of the most promising bands in Britain today. Just take a listen to their début mini-album the North Stands For Nothing, the crushing combination of metal and hardcore really sets them apart from every other band in the British music scene right now. But anyone can make a good album, the real test for a band lies in the live environment.

In a mere 30 minute set (due to curfews) While She Sleeps prove that they are a force to be reckoned with. The band play tracks from The North Stands For Nothing as well as new single Be(lie)ve and the crowd love every second of it.

WSS have built up a really strong fan base who scream every word of every song right back at the band. The band have the crowd in the palm of their hand, on command, dozens of crowd surfers fly overhead and dive straight back into the crowd, and during the bands final song Crows, there’s a wall of death that even vocalist Lawrence Taylor joins in with.

Basically, you should go and see this band while they are still playing tiny venues, this band are going to be huge! [10]
