It’s weird. It’s downright scary in places. And now for the first time it has come to British Television. Last night Metallica & Lou Reed premièred their collective works on UK prime time TV on the Later With Jools Holland show on BBC2. James, Rob, Kirk, Lars and Lou played two songs from “Lulu” – Iced Honey and White Light / White Heat.

For those wanting an update on a more “traditional” Metallica release, the band recently confirmed they are working on the follow up to 2008’s Death Magnetic. Rick Rubin is once again signed on to produce the album.
