Everyone’s favourite catsuit wearing masters of falsetto The Darkness have been announced to play a headline show deep amongst the trees in Thetford Forest. The show will form part of the annual set of shows organised by The Forestry Commission and will take place on July 14th 2012. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards the upkeep of the forest and projects related to improving the conditions of the forest. No support acts have been announced as of yet. Tickets for the show will go onsale Friday 25th November from the Forestry Commission website.
The Darkness are currently midway through a near sell out comeback tour, having reformed with their original line-up earlier in 2011. The band marked their comeback with a bang as main support to Def Leppard on the Friday of Download 2011 at Donington Park. Further shows are expected to be announced by the Forestry Commission to take place across Summer 2012 at Thetford Forest with a variety of musicial styles being represented on different shows. So if your ideal summer evening is hearing I Believe In A Thing Called Love and Love On The Rocks With No Ice amongst other hits under the trees, get your tickets ASAP.
