We may be lacking in news about the UK installment of Sonisphere, Sonisphere Knebworth, but Europe’s touring festival are starting to get their act in gear when it comes to releasing some line up news for some of the stops on the mainland.
Fresh from their appearance at various Sonisphere’s with the rest of the big four last year, Metallica will be coming to Helsinki to headline Sonisphere Finland and they’ll be playing the black album in it’s entirety just like they’ll be doing at Download this year. The supporting cast is looking rather insane too – Machine Head will be joining their fellow Californians and will be looking to batter Finland as a perfect warm up act for Metallica.
Finnish natives will also be represented on the bill as Amorphis will be appearing at their home Sonisphere, and they’ll be joined by the mighty Gojira! Rounding off the bands announced so far are Ghost. Not a bad five bands to kick off with at all! Sonisphere Finland takes place on June 4th 2012 in Helsinki and the tickets will be on sale next Monday (Monday 6th February) at Tiketti.fi and Lippupalvelu.fi.
