One of the rising stars of the Florida scene, pop metallers We Are Defiance haven’t had a great time of things during the last twelve months or so.
The band had an unfortunate road accident in Kentucky last January, an incident which led to singer Brian Calzini being hospitalised and needing to undergo surgery as a result, with him also requiring stitches and briefly being in a neck brace. As a result of the accident, their van and trailer were written off and as a result the band have had big problems transporting their equipment to shows throughout 2011.
The band are trying to raise $1,500 to purchase a new (used) trailer so that they can take their full set of equipment on the road with them and are asking fans for donations to help reach their target. Anyone wishing to donate can send Paypal donations to BrianCalzini at gmail dot com (spelt out so poor Brian doesn’t get spammed by bots from us publishing his email address). The band promise to reward anyone who donates with gifts “for being awesome fans”.
We Are Defiance will be headed out on the road across the US (hopefully with a new trailer attached to their van) headlining the New Year To Fear tour. Support on the tour comes from This Romantic Tradegy, The Last Of Our Kind and Speaking The Kings. The full list of dates are below:
