Last seen on these shores opening for Metallica at Earl’s Court in December 2003, Bostonians Godsmack have announced their live return to the UK after nearly a decade. The band, who regularly sell out arena’s at home in the US are headed across the pond for a one off date at The HMV Forum in Kentish Town, London. The show will be on June 20th 2012. Best known in the UK for their breakout smash hit “I Stand Alone”, this show offers fans of Godsmack a very rare chance to see them anywhere outside of the continental US. Tickets are on sale through Kililive.com.

Godsmack’s frontman Sully Erna had this to say about their forthcoming UK jaunt:

Just realised that we haven’t been to your country since we were there with Metallica almost 10 years ago. I’m very pleased to finally announce that GODSMACK is coming back to ROCK FUCKIN LONDON. SO stay tuned, and don’t miss it!
