With a line-up that is already arguably the heaviest and most brutal of all the Bloodstock Festival line-up’s over the years, the organisers of Bloodstock, not content with already having UK exclusives from everyone from headliners Behemoth and Alice Cooper to black metal superstars Mayhem to death metal kings Nile, they’ve gone and added two more exclusives.
Power metal veterans Iced Earth have confirmed that their appearance at Bloodstock 2012 will be their only UK festival appearance for 2012, and if that isn’t good enough they’ve also gone and booked the mighty Sepultura! Brazil’s finest will be shattering the grounds of Catton Hall with the likes of Territory and Refuse/Resist. Both bands are currently scheduled to appear on the Ronnie James Dio main stage on the Friday but the days/times of the Bloodstock line-up are highly likely to change in the month’s ahead before the festival.
Tickets for Bloodstock Open Air 2012 are now on sale from the official festival website and the usual online ticket websites. Prices start at £115 and £14 for a car park ticket. The festival takes place at Catton Hall in Derbyshire on the 2nd weekend of August. Tickets were previously on sale at cheaper early bird prices but this offer has now expired.
