In welcome news for anyone who likes their progressive rock or metal, British prog veterans Marillion are back and raring to go with a brand new Studio album and a substantial UK tour next month. The September 2012 jaunt, which is part of their 2012/2013 Sounds That Can’t Be Made world tour will play seven shows across the UK, beginning in Cardiff. The tour heads up to Scotland before covering most of the length of the UK, finishing off in Cambridge eight days later. The full list of dates and venues can be found below:

16th – HMV Forum, London (UK)
17th – Cambridge Junction, Cambridge (UK)
These tour dates form part of a much larger world tour which sees Marillion visit Central and South America later this year (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela and Mexico) as well as some European dates before returning to Europe in January 2013 for another round of shows in France, Spain and Italy.
This new world tour will be in support of Marillion’s brand new album, Sounds That Can’t Be Made, which will be released on earMusic on September 17th 2012. The first track from the album is called Power, and the video for Power can be seen below:
