Gojira. The name elicits joy amongst hordes of metal fans young and old alike, and now the time has come for the progressive French metal quartet to bring their new masterpiece L’Enfant Sauvage (along with a collection of their old works) to the public at large.
Gojira have lined up a month long European tour, with the bulk of dates taking place in their homeland and in the UK, with ten shows lined across the length and width of the British shores. The British part of the tour kicks off in Newcastle at Northumbria University on Bonfire night so expect fireworks of a different nature and culminates eleven days later at the O2 Academy in Oxford.
Gojira aren’t coming alone; They’ll be bringing with them two sets of their compatriots, helping to spread the growing force of French heavy metal across Europe. Fellow progressive metallers Klone are on board for the trip, and will be promoting their brand new album “The Dreamer’s Hideaway” which is released in just a couple of weeks on October 5th through their own Klonosphere Records. Rounding out the trio of bands are Trepalium, bring the French flavoured version of Death Metal with a hint of groove to the tour where we are sure they will be most welcome.
