The organisers of Reading & Leeds have certainly pulled a swerve ball from their bag this year as the first headliner announced for Reading & Leeds Festival 2013 edition is none other than Detroit rap megastar Eminem.
Having headlined at Reading & Leeds back in 2001, this will be Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers)’s second headlining appearances at the August bank holiday split festivals. His last festival appearance in the UK was at the 2011 V Festival where he headlined alongside The Arctic Monkeys.
Eminem joins the already announced Deftones, Alt-J, SubFocus and Boy Better Know as confirmed acts for this Reading and Leeds festivals. Tickets are on sale now through the official websites and through the usual online ticketing websites. Further information about Reading & Leeds (as well as Download, Bloodstock, Sonisphere and all the other festivals with at least a flavour of rock or metal) will be available here in due course.
