In a piece of metal news that will excite fans the world over, details have emerged of Killswitch Engage’s first album with returning singer Jesse Leach on vocal duty in a decade. Their brand new album, to be released through their long time record label home Roadrunner Records, is entitled Disarm The Descent, and will be landing on shelves physical and digital on the 1st of April 2013. Guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz will once again be behind the producers desk, and the album is being mixed by the metal legend that is Andy Sneap.
As a taste of things to come, the first single from Disarm The Descent “In Due Time” will be available on the third of February along with details of how to pre order the album.
When asked for comment on the forthcoming album, Jesse Leach sounded understandibly emotional about his return to the band and their latest work:
“It is with a grateful spirit that we prepare for this record’s release,” Leach said. “From the music, to the lyrics, to the artwork, we are all proud of what we have accomplished. To me this is by far my best vocal performance, much thanks to Adam’s guidance and faith in my abilities. I am very grateful to be where I am in life, back in an amazing band with a record we are all excited for the world to hear. Thanks to all the fans for their warm welcome back and their undying love for Killswitch Engage.”
