After pulling off quite a surprise with their choice of Eminem as first headliner for the 2013 installment, the organisers at Reading & Leeds have returned to slightly more familiar territory for their second choice of headliner. Having headlined at Sonisphere Knebworth in 2011 in their festival headlining breakthrough and after sub-headlining Metallica at the Download Festival 2012, Biffy Clyro take their expected position as the second headliners confirmed for Reading & Leeds Festivals 2013.

That’d be enough to please some people but we’ve got plenty more bands announced for Reading & Leeds to go with Biffy Clyro. Having just announced their comeback, Fall Out Boy will be making a UK festival exclusive performance at Reading & Leeds 2013. The return of one of pop punk’s most popular bands of recent times is sure to shift some tickets by itself.

For those who like things a bit heavier, System Of A Down are making their first return to the UK since their headline appearance at Download two years ago. Their Reading and Leeds return marks ten years since they last appeared at the festival when they sub-headlined under Metallica in 2003. Bring Me The Horizon will also be making their return to Reading, armed by then with their forthcoming new album Sempiternal. SOAD and BMTH promise to bring two of the heaviest sets of the whole weekend to Reading & Leeds 2013.

These bands join the previously announced Eminem and Deftones amongst acts already announced for the festivals. Tickets are currently on sale at around £200 plus booking fees from all the usual ticketing websites.
