Originators of the of the now familiar Djent twang, tech metal pioneers Meshuggah are returning to the UK for their biggest shows so far. But they’re not coming alone to the fair shores of the UK. This will also be the biggest indoor show to date in the UK for Devin Townsend and The Devin Townsend Project, who will be coming off the back of the massive success of The Retinal Circus, held in Camden last October.
Just to round things off incase there are still people not satisfied by this, one of the bands who set Meshuggah as one of their major influences, Periphery, will be on hand to kick off proceedings and Brixton Academy is likely to be bouncing to their djent flavoured metal on the night.
So when is this massive show you ask? It’s on the 3rd of May 2013. Tickets for the show are £28.50 plus booking fees and are currently on general sale, having gone onsale on Friday morning (1st of Feb 2013). Tickets can be purchased from all the usual online ticketing providers.
Meshuggah’s most recent album Koloss was released last year through Nuclear Blast to critical acclaim. Similarily, Epicloud, the most recent album from The Devin Townsend Project, was released last Summer through Century Media Records to wide adulation from the fans and critics alike.
So what are you waiting for? Go get tickets for one of the biggest metal shows that will hit the UK all year. Further metal tour and gig announcements will be found here as and when we hear about them.
