Certain events are defining moments in the careers of bands or artists. Back in 2005, on the Saturday morning of that years’ Download Festival, a young metal band from Florida opened the main stage (after being promoted from a smaller stage) to a crowd of thousands. On that morning, Trivium gave a performance which launched them into the eyes of the metal world, where they have remained with varying degrees of success ever since. Trivium are currently working on the follow up to their 2011 hit album In Waves. Tickets for Download 2013 remain on sale from the festival website and all the usual locations. Over 100 bands will play this years’ Download, which is of course topped off by headliners Iron Maiden, Rammstein and Slipknot.
