Having started in the US last year, and with a couple of successful tours under their belt that have raised money for a good cause in the shape of the Sweet Relief Charity, the Death: Death To All tour is heading across the Atlantic to Europe in late 2013. Death, the “original death metal” band sadly ceased to be when founder Chuck Schuldiner passed away in December 2001 as a result of cancer. Now, twelve years on, the band and their music will live again in the shape of Death: Death To All. Taking on “Death” band duties for the tour will be the following musicians:
Sean Reinert (Cynic) – drums
Paul Masvidal (Cynic) – guitar
Steve DiGiorgio (Autopsy, Testament, Iced Earth) – bass
Max Phelps (Cynic) – guitar & vocals
Support on the tour will come from Obscura and Darkrise. Obscura’s singer Steffen Kummerer was in fact asked to handle vocal duties on the first Death: DTA tour in the US in 2012, but was unable to take part due to issues with obtaining a visa. With this in mind, don’t be surprised to see him sing a Death classic or two on this tour. Now, everyone will be waiting for the list of tour dates. Without further ado, here it is:
