In what may be the dream of numerous metal fans all across the UK and beyond, in an announcement made on site at 2013 Bloodstock Open Air Festival a few minutes ago, the first headliners for next years edition of the festival are none other than the recently reactivated black metal legends Emperor! This announcement was made just before Lamb of God took to the stage at Bloodstock Open Air 2013 for their Saturday night headline slot.
Emperor’s reformation was recently announced by a post on the Wacken Open Air Festival website, when it was revealed that a meet and greet to be held with Emperor’s former frontman Ihsahn was to be a meet and greet with Emperor, and that subsequently that Emperor were to headline Wacken Open Air Festival 2014.
