As is often the tradition when you’re about to play a big UK festival, a band decides to play a warm up show. US punk rock legends Green Day have decided that that is one tradition they’re going to adhere to, and as a result the trio have announced a show in London next week!
To get themselves ready for their headline appearances at Reading Festival 2013 and Leeds Festival 2013 over the bank holiday weekend, Green Day will take to the stage at London’s Brixton Academy on the 21st of August 2013. Tickets are going to cost £44.43 including booking fees. Tickets can be purchased through TicketWeb on the link below:

Tickets for Green Day’s Brixton Academy show are going on sale on Wednesday 14th August at 9am sharp. This is guaranteed to sell out very quickly, so have your browser / tablet / smartphone trained on Ticketweb come 9am on Wednesday. If you’ve got O2 Priority you might be able to get your hands on them right now, head over to https://www.o2priority.co.uk/Tickets for that!
Green Day’s most recent UK appearances were shows at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium at the beginning of June 2013. They released their trio of albums ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré! over the last few months of 2012. This year is the first time Green Day have headlined Reading & Leeds Festivals since 2004, the year of their career transforming album American Idiot. They also popped up at Reading last year for a secret gig first thing in the morning on the Radio One/NME stage but there will be no need for such surprises this time around. Any further Green Day updates will be provided here as we get them.
