It’s not often you’ll find me writing such opinionated pieces on Rocksins any more, so its saying something when i come out of retirement to say holy fuck, Jamie Lenmans back!
For those of you who don’t know (and obviously have some catching up to do) Jamie Lenman was/is (depending on who you believe) the frontman of the legendary Reuben.
Reuben went on hiatus back in 2008 and nothing much has been heard from them since. A few members went over to Freeze The Atlantic, but Jamie took a break and carried on with his illustration work.
This was a killer thing for me, they are my favorite band and with good reason, check out Stuck in My Throat, taken off of their debut album back in 2004.

It’s a fucking masterpiece and it fucking hurts that a band that good can just quit, even if they never seemed to be getting everywhere.
And that was Reubens problem; they had talent, ability, passion and hooks by the tonne, but always lacked the recognition they so deserved. They’re one of those bands that I always saw making it big but never seemed to get there.
So its a shock going on from that 5 years later to hear their frontman Jamie Lenman is releasing a debut solo album, and from the video he released on his facebook page it looks to be a right corker of an album.
