This year has already seen great chart success in the UK for the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Paramore, Five Finger Death Punch, Black Sabbath and Avenged Sevenfold (with the latter two acts each racking up a number one album). Last week Alter Bridge slammed their way onto the top ten UK album charts with their new album Fortress landing at number six. This week their success has continued. Although they’ve dropped some places, they’re very much still in the Top 40 at number twenty three.
This week sees Alter Bridge joined by Bakersfield nu metal originators KoRn, racking up another chart success. Their latest offering The Paradigm Shift (featuring original guitarist and founding member Brian ‘Head’ Welch returning to the band) has slotted into the Top 20 comfortably at number sixteen. Guaranteed to be a chart success across the world, The Paradigm Shift is the first KoRn album to feature Head in almost a decade.
Whilst we don’t currently have any news of plans for KoRn to hit the UK, Alter Bridge begin their huge UK arena tour this week! With Shinedown and Halestorm on board as special guests, this is one of THE tours of 2013. Limited tickets are still available so snap up what’s left if there are any left for your local show. A full reminder of the tour can be found on the original announcement right here.
Both KoRn and Alter Bridge have released singles in the run up to their new albums, so if you’ve missed either KoRn’s Never Never or Alter Bridge’s Addicted To Pain, you can check out both videos below:
