Catching up on some rather important news from last week that we didn’t quite have time to update our readers with when it was revealed, there are three more fantastic bands now on the line for Bloodstock Open Air 2014!

First of all, and one of Rocksins’ favourite metal bands of any sub-genre, the mighty Viking metal warriors known as Amon Amarth will be bringing their spectacular show, long boat and all to Bloodstock 2014 for their only UK show of next year. Amon Amarth are currently scheduled to appear as special guests to Megadeth on the closing night of the festival which promises to be one of the most spectacular sets of the entire weekend. If you’re unsure as to why we think this is amazing news, listen to this and then you should be aware:

Having been one of the bands of the festival in 2012, it should come as no surprise that hardcore legends Hatebreed have been asked to return to Bloodstock in 2014, an invitation they happily accepted. Hatebreed’s always outspoken vocalist Jamey Jasta was rather pleased about Hatebreed returning to BOA, as this confirms:

“When I found out, I opened my window and yelled ‘FUCK YEAH, MOTHERFUCKER!!!!’ My neighbor looked up at me startled, and asked what the outburst was all about. I told him “We’re playing Bloodstock 2014!!!” So spread the word people, it’s gonna be a great summer and it will be Hatebreed’s only UK show, so don’t you dare miss it!

Rounding off the trio of new additions for BOA 2014 are post metal legends Prong. Currently hard at work on a brand new album which is currently titled “Ruining Lives”, Prong’s début at Catton Hall is something not to be missed by anyone who likes their metal ambient and atmospheric.

These three fine bands join headliners Down, Emperor and Megadeth along with Saxon, Decapitated, Crowbar and numerous others in what promises to be one of the best Bloodstock Festival’s ever and there’s still three quarters of the bands yet to be announced! The last of the early bird tickets can be acquired from the BOA ticket shop at Seetickets (link to follow) https://bloodstock.seetickets.com/. When they’re gone, they’re gone and the prices will go up. A Bloodstock ticket would make a truly fantastic Christmas present for a loved one so pick one up! Further Bloodstock announcements are set to be made in the coming days and weeks prior to Christmas and we’ll bring you all the news as it occurs here at Rocksins.
