Last years’ Rock Sound Impericon Exposure tour was a triumph heralded almost universally as the likes of Bury Tomorrow, Stray From The Path and headliners The Ghost Inside tore up club venues across the country and we’re very happy to announce the tour is returning next year for it’s third instalment.
Headlining the 2014 extravanga will be US metalcore act We Came As Romans. Known for their participation in the popular “punk does pop” compilation series where they’ve covered the likes of The Wanted, We Came As Romans released Tracing Back Roots, their most successful album to date earlier this year. Headlining the 2014 Rock Sound Impericon Exposure tour sees them ascend to the next level as far as shows in the UK are concerned, and it’s something the band are very much looking forward to as guitarist Andy Glass attests to:
“It’s been ages since we did a full tour of the UK – we’re stoked to be coming back and finally playing songs from ‘Tracing Back Roots’ for our fans here. Come party with us!”
The first special guests for the tour will be the fast rising punks of Chunk? No, Captain Chunk! With a name that you’re not likely to forget once you’ve heard it for the first time, this is a band who aim to leave a lasting impression on anyone who’s seen them in the flesh.
Also heading over from America for the tour are We Came As Roman’s fellow metalcore purveyors The Color Morale. Having made a splash with their album “Know Hope” earlier this year (read here as Rocksins’ Lisa Fox gave them a glowing review) and having appeared this past weekend at The Vans Warped Tour UK at Alexandra Palace, The Rock Sound Impericon Exposure tour will be The Color Morale’s most high profile UK tour yet.
Last but most certainly not least on the line up are Palm Reader. This UK hardcore mob released the album Bad Weather earlier this year, which Rocksins writer Stephen Hill (also of Metal Hammer and Team Rock Radio fame) deemed a genre defining album for hardcore (read his review here to see for yourselves). The tour will consist of six shows split across February and March 2014, concluding with a big blow off show at London’s O2 Islington Academy. Full details of the shows follow below:
