Speculation has been rife over who would join Iron Maiden and Metallica (with their “By Request” set) as the final headliner at the reborn Sonisphere Knebworth in 2014. Black Sabbath, Pearl Jam and AC/DC were all strongly rumoured, only for the organisers to throw us all a very popular dance themed curveball.
18 years after they last played on the lush grounds of Knebworth House with Oasis back on Oasis’s famous Knebworth show in 1996, The Prodigy return to headline the Friday night of Sonisphere UK 2014. Having proven themselves adept at headlining at festivals the world over and performing at all types of festival crowds from Reading to Download to The Isle Of Wight, Sonisphere Knebworth now gets to enjoy the experience of a Prodigy festival headline set.
The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett had this to say about their return to Knebworth:
“We cant wait to play Sonisphere 2014, we will be hittin u with some brand new beats and noise. Respecto The Prodigy”
