One of the most promising rock acts to emerge from across the Atlantic in some time, purveyors of good old Southern American rock Blackberry Smoke will this week begin their first UK tour. Several venues on the tour have been upgraded to keep up with the demand for tickets, and now the time is almost upon us! Full details of the shows can be found below:

Fri 28th Feb – Glasgow – ABC
Sat 1st Mar – Nottingham – Bodega (Sold Out)
Sun 2nd Mar – Manchester – Academy 2
Mon 3rd Mar – London – O2 Islington Academy
Wed 5th Mar – Wolverhampton – Wulfrun Hall
Very limited tickets for the tour remain with Nottingham having completely sold out (and other shows may well have done so by now as well). Hurry over to Ticketmaster or Live Nation if you want to go to a show to see if they have any tickets left. Blackberry Smoke will be touring in support of their first album to receive a UK release. Entitled ‘The Whippoorwill’, it hit the shelves last week (17th of February 2014) through well known rock and metal record label Earache Records, and it can be picked up from HMV, iTunes and all the other usual outlets.
As well as the tour and the album release, Blackberry Smoke also have a music video out for the lead single from The Whippoorwill, entitled “Shakin’ Hands With The Holy Ghost”. You can check out the video below:
