The Exploited’s Wattie Buchan Suffers Heart Attack On Stage, Band Cancel European Tour

Some sad news to report this morning as legendary British punk singer Wattie Buchan, front man for The Exploited suffered a heart attack on stage in Lisbon, Portugal last Thursday (13th February 2014). Wattie and The Exploited were performing on tour with Hatebreed and fellow Brits Napalm Death when Wattie was taken ill.

The rest of The Exploited have released the following short statement:

“We are sorry to say that due to a severe illness that Wattie can’t continue with the tour. He will be in hospital for at least a week.
Thanks for all the get-well messages. Much appreciated. Regards.”

As a result the band have ceased all activities until May 2014 at the earliest. Rock Sins would like to add our voices to the list of people offering Wattie get well wishes and we hope he makes a full recovery. Any further updates on this story will be brought to our readers in due course.
