Beyond The Redshift is one of the new wave of festivals that have arrived in 2014, and from our eyes, one of the most interesting by far. If you haven’t yet heard of it, or missed the original announcement (readable here), it’s being Curated by the masters of post-metal Cult Of Luna. CoL will also be headlining the festival, and have lined up an impressive array of post-rock, post-metal, shoegaze, drone and other such noise making artists for their event taking place on the 10th of May in London.

Today marks the second batch of artists announced for Beyond The Redshift 2014 and are likely to make any fans of those types of music very happy indeed. Leading the way are Irish post-rock favourites God Is An Astronaut and one of Justin Broadrick’s most well known creations Jesu. God Is An Astronaut’s label mates on Pelagic Records, Swedes The Old Wind will also be appearing, as will Syndrome (the project of Amenra and Caan member Mathieu Vandekerckhove) and Australian post-rock collective Sleepmakeswaves.

Tickets for Beyond The Redshift 2014 cost £30 plus booking fees and are available now from all the usual online outlets. More line up additions will be announced in due course.
