So it occured to us here at Rock Sins earlier that today marks exactly six weeks until the gates of Donington Park will once again be flung wide open to accept the masses of the UK’s rock and metal community for the start of Download 2014. Tents will be pitched, gazebo’s will be erected (or popped up, if you have the nice expensive flashy ones), friends will be reunited, good times will be had and a lot of alcohol will be drunk. Frankly we can’t wait, and we started thinking about how much fun we had last year. Rammstein’s festival closing performance at Download 2013 is pretty much the greatest thing we’ve ever seen at Download (and between Team Rock Sins we’ve been there every year since it started) so we thought we’d share the clip of them performing Du Hast courtesy of the Sky Arts coverage of Download 2013 for everyone to enjoy one more time. If you’re new to this, get watching immediately!
Download Festival 2014 takes place between the 11th and 16th of June 2014 (bands on the 13th headlined by Avenged Sevenfold, 14th headlined by Linkin Park and 15th headlined by Aerosmith) at the spiritual home of UK rock and metal Donington Park. Tickets and addons like parking and lockers are available at the official festival website www.downloadfestival.co.uk. In the weeks to come we’ll have tons of previews and build up to this years’ Download as well as looking back at great things from years gone by so stay tuned, Download will be here before any of us know it!
