Having been hard at work on their new album for the past several months, US / Canadian metallers and huge rock stars Fozzy are thrilled to announce details of the first new music from the band in 2014. Ahead of their sixth full length studio album, which will be released this Summer (exact timetable TBC), Fozzy will release a brand new single, entitled “Lights Go Out”, on the 28th of April 2014.
Fozzy’s singer, the always colourful Chris Jericho, is typically enthusiastic about the band’s new single:
“’Lights Go Out’ represents a brand new color in the FOZZY spectrum. Dark, sexy, sleek, dirty, heavy and catchy as f*ck, this song turns a whole new page in hard rock history – it doesn’t matter if you dance to it in a club or mosh to it in a pit, ‘Lights Go Out’ will make you move!”
Regular visitors to the UK and friends of ours here at Rock Sins, Fozzy will have the chance to showcase some of their new material at the Download Festival in June, where they will play the main stage for the very first time on the Saturday of the festival. Last time out when Fozzy appeared at Download 2012 they put in one of the performances of the day on the Zippo Encore Stage.
This marks an extremely busy time for Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho, who has the third volume of his autobiography coming out in October. Entitled “The Best In The World: At What I Have No Idea”, Jericho will be looking to emulate the success of the first two parts of his autobiography which have both had enormous success on the New York Times bestsellers list. Jericho is also hosting a tremendously successful bi-weekly podcast entitled (aptly) Talk Is Jericho. With existing instalments featuring guests such as Wrestling legends Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret The Hitman Hart, as well as rock and metal luminaries such as M Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold and former KISS member Ace Frehley, Talk Is Jericho is rapidly becoming one of the most enjoyed podcasts in the world of entertainment.
