Protest The Hero have recently snatched up an award at the 2014 Juno Awards, Canada’s music awards in the ‘Best Metal / Hard Music Album of 2013’ category for their recent album release Volition.
The band were on the second leg of their North American tour for Volition, when they received the news.
“We are very proud to be recognised by the Juno Awards for ‘Best Metal / Hard Music Album of 2013’.” comments Tim Millar, guitarist: “2013 was a crazy year, and without all the hard work of the people who made the record come to life, and all the people who contributed to the record before hearing a single note, this album would not have been possible. We are forever in your debt.”
Guitarist Luke Hoskin adds: “We are thrilled with our recent Juno win! We had incredible company in our category, and it could have gone to anyone. We remain proud Canadians even though we are currently touring south of the border. Thanks for all the support!”
In Addition to this, Protest The Hero have also been added to the Sonisphere 2014 Festival lineup. The festival will be celebrating 40 years of festivals at Knebworth.
Protest The Hero also have a number of european appearances confirmed including Hellfest in France and With Full Force in Germany.
