Something great for your Friday lunch time! The nice people at Red Bull have just sent this through to us. It’s an animated video covering the creation and history of The Download Festival and some of Red Bull’s involvement with the festival over the years. It doesn’t really need any further introduction from us, so watch and enjoy:
The Red Bull tradition of Download involvement continued this year with the latest instalment of the Red Bull Studios contest for bands to play at Download. Eight winners were selected from hundreds and hundreds of bands who entered. More about the winners, and the contest is available at the Red Bull Studios Download Festival website download.redbullstudios.com. One of those winners were Hertfordshire natives Chasing Cadence, who Rock Sins had campaign on behalf of throughout the final stages of the contest. We spoke to their singer Jack Harris during finals week to find out about the band’s experience being involved with the Red Bull competition, and you can read his views on Chasing Cadence’s involvement right here.
Tickets for the 2014 edition of the Download Festival headlined by Avenged Sevenfold (as mentioned in the video), Linkin Park performing Hybrid Theory in full as part of their set and Aerosmith are still available both for the individual days and the full weekend. If you want to get yourself a last minute ticket head over to www.downloadfestival.co.uk and follow the steps from there.
