Malefice to release Gravitas on the 3rd of November

MALEFICE have announced the release date of their new EP, Gravitas as the 3rd of November. Check out new song “Forsaken’, taken from the EP here:

Following a relentless touring schedule supporting 2012’s critically acclaimed ’Five’ album the band took a short hiatus, however their insatiable drive to create seriously heavy music quickly returned, putting them back on the writing wagon once again. The band are self-producing the EP with it being mixed and mastered by Justin Hill. The currently untitled record will feature four new tracks as well as a remix of the blistering single ‘V’.

Dale Butler, vocalist, states: “After taking some time out from the band to do our own things and focus on our own lives we came back together not feeling as we had given all we have to give to Malefice… We spent a long booze-fuelled evening talking about what we want to do and what came out of that discussion is that we want to write music we like, we don’t want to write music to fit in or to sound like whatever is ‘cool’ this year. We are going to back to what makes us Malefice and were gonna write some fucking heavy music to headbang to. And that’s that.”

The band are also very pleased to welcome new drummer James Pearly Cook into the Malefice family. He has been a good friend of the band for many years from his time playing with numerous bands including Anterior and Born Of Ruin. James is playing an active role in making the new EP and is very excited to hit the road later in 2014.

Autumn tour dates will be announced very soon! keep an eye on https://www.facebook.com/maleficeofficial for announcements.
