After a supposedly “quiet” 2014 which saw them wow the Vans Warped Tour main stage in America, Reading and Leeds here in the UK and goodness only knows where else, St Albans’ most well known musical export Enter Shikari have today announced their plans for 2015 with a bang.
Monday the 19th of January 2015 will see the release of “The Mindsweep”, Enter Shikari’s fourth full length album and the follow up to 2012’s A Flash Flood Of Colour. Enter Shikari have once again been working with Sikth’ legend Dan Weller as producer for The Mindsweep and Jeremy Wheatley (who’s worked with everyone from Dizzy Rascal to Bon Jovi) has handled the mixing duties.
Shikari frontman Rou Reynolds tells us all a bit about The Mindsweep, and the album artwork and track listing also follows below:
“We pushed ourselves vocally with some of the rawest angriest vocals we’ve ever done as well as some of the most dulcet and delicate. It’s even more diverse than normal as we’ve built more confidence and fearlessness to widen our influences further. Melody and aggression will always be an important side of what we do, but with this album there was also a concerted effort to concentrate on texture too. Alongside the core of our guitar, bass, drums, electronics set-up, there’s so much new instrumentation and orchestration. Writing for and recording woodwind, brass and strings was so rewarding and really felt like it brought a new dimension to the music.

Enter Shikari have also announced an enormous European tour for January & February 2015 which will culminate in a nine date stint across the length of England and Scotland at the end of February, finishing up with a show at London’s Camden Town Roundhouse. Full tour details follow below:
