All we can say is get ready to smash anything within arms reach around you. The latest track to surface from Slipknot’s comeback album .5 The Gray Chapter is an absolute monster. “Custer” was officially released on the Slipknot YouTube channel yesterday and has already racked up several hundred thousand plays. It’s no wonder either, as to our ears it is the most impressive of the tracks to be showcased thus far from The Gray Chapter. Rather than let us bleat on for ages, just click play on Custer by Slipknot yourselves below and enjoy.

Custer is the latest track to surface from Slipknot’s forthcoming album .5 The Gray Chapter, which is the band’s first album in six years (following on from All Hope Is Gone). .5 The Gray Chapter will be released in just over a week on the 20th of October 2014 through Slipknot’s long time record label Roadrunner Records.

The album is the first to feature the bands new bassist and drummer (both of who’s identities officially remain unknown, though it has pretty much been confirmed the new bassist is Alessandro ‘Vman’ Venturella of Krokodil who was outed thanks to the very unique tattoos on his hands being visible in the video for the first single The Devil In I).
