People On Vacation (aka Jaret Reddick and Ryan Hamilton) have always been a band who engage with their fans and the wider community wherever possible. From social media to funding their forthcoming album, The Chronicles Of Tim Powers, through Pledge Music, People On Vacation are a band of the people. They’re now taking that a step further. With their original opening act, friend of the band and album producer Linus Of Hollywood now unable to come on tour due to producing commitments, People On Vacation are holding something of an online open audition to find a new opening act for their tour, which also features Nottingham band Lacey.
Straight from the horses mouth, here’s the instructions from People On Vacation themselves if you and your band want to get involved:
– UK based bands/ artists only…Submit yourself by sending an MP3, bio and any social site links to [email protected]
– Bands MUST be able to do all shows on the tour and provide your own transportation and equipment (see below for all UK tour dates)
– Deadline to submit is 21st JANUARY
– We will narrow the search to 4-5 bands in the coming weeks and let the public decide who joins the tour!
Bands must make submissions themselves. Fans are encouraged to spread the word wherever possible but any bands wishing to apply must do so directly (fans cannot submit on their behalf).
