With the build up to festival season well and truly under way as the UK shivers it’s way through a cold February, the latest additions to Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2015 may warm the hearts and minds of many.
Making their début in the prestigious Sunday night special guest slots to headliner Rob Zombie are none other than Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society! With their last album Catacombs Of The Black Vatican crashing into the UK Album Charts Top 30 upon it’s release through Mascot Records, things have never been better for BLS in the UK. Zakk Wylde is certainly looking forward to their Bloodstock début:
“We’re looking forward to seeing the mighty UK Chapter of the all-mighty Black Label when we get rolling at the Bloodstock festival in August!”
Also appearing at Bloodstock 2015 in a UK exclusive festival appearance are the overlords of grindcore Napalm Death. With their new album Apex Predator being extremely well received across the metal community, it is obvious Napalm Death have lost none of their ferocity that they are renown for in their music. Napalm Death’s legendary frontman Barney knows the hallowed turf of Catton Hall very well indeed:
“Playing at Bloodstock is literally like stepping out of our front doors to climb onstage, so we’ll be projecting a great big wall of noise from Birmingham to Catton Park! We personally know most of the staff and crew, so we look forward to watching them flog themselves to death, while we stand idly by and take in the sights, smells, and sounds of this friendly old fest. Grind!”
Lastly for this announcement, Swedish metallers Wolf will be gearing up for a main stage appearance at BOA 2015. Anyone not familiar with Wolf can check out their single Shark Attack (and matching video) from their most recent album Devil Seed below:
There’s also a brand new video trailer for Bloodstock Open Air 2015, which is available for your viewing pleasure here:
The above bands join headliners Within Temptation, Trivium and Rob Zombie along with Sabaton, Opeth, Cannibal Corpse, Ihsahn, Ensiferum and many many more at the 2015 edition of Bloodstock Open Air Festival from Catton Hall in Derbyshire. Tickets are available for £135 plus fees from the official Bloodstock Festival ticket shop – https://bloodstock.seetickets.com/event/bloodstock-2015/catton-park/809956. A deposit scheme is also still available for those wanting to split the cost.
Stay tuned for further announcements as we get closer to August when the gates will open once again on another Bloodstock Festival.
