Welcome back to our special look at bands in and around the Cambridge rock scene at the moment! Part one featured Kingdom Keys earlier this week (if you missed that, please check it out here). However there are three other bands on the bill for The Monday Rock Hour Presents show on April 30th. A gig put on by radio presenter John Wood and his show The Monday Rock Hour, on Cam FM, one the UK’s most listened to student radio station.

The second band I’d like to announce is Cambridge based band 28 Boulevard!

With their catchy and fun fuzzy indie sounds it’s no surprise that they were the winners of the Best Indie Band award at the NMG Awards 2014. 28 Boulevard are rapidly becoming known across East Anglia and London.

This delightful band is made up of Tim Lloyd-Kinnings on vocals and rhythm guitar, Lewis Moon on bass, Cameron Gipp on lead guitar alongside Lewis Lloyd-Kinnings and Michael Smith on drums.

Their sound may seem very familiar but like nothing you’ve ever heard before. Due to their vast knowledge and even bigger love for music their are a lot of bands who influence these guys creating a unique music.

To get your musical taste buds buzzing Tim recommends tracks such as Well Hello and Cinnamon.

You can catch the guys at the The Monday Rock Hour Presents gig which will take place in Cambridge’s very own Cornerhouse Pub on April 30th at 7pm. Tickets/entry are only £4. This show is going to be setting the bar; leading to bigger shows in the future.
