Palm Reader have never been a band to do things in small measures. Ever since they were hailed by Team Rock’s own Stephen Hill on this very website as one of the forces in UK hardcore to beat with their previous album Bad Weather a couple of years ago, we’ve watched their activities with interest. They’ve put in some brilliant live performances during that time, and now they are celebrating the release of their new album Besides The Ones We Love which came out at the start of April.
For some bank holidays are about catching up on paperwork, spending time with the family and weather permitting, cutting the grass or doing some gardening. Not very rock n’roll. This Monday is going to be a very special one however for Palm Reader as they play shows all over London and the south east all in one day.
For Palm Reader, it’s even more crazy than the title of this post suggests. They’ll actually be performing five sets in just EIGHT hours. The full timetable of the days activities can be seen below:

Palm Reader’s frontman Josh McKeown is looking to hit this challenging day the only way he knows – straight head on:
“Everything about this band revolves around us pushing ourselves and this insane day will encapsulate our approach. It is by far the most ambitious challenge we’ve ever set ourselves and is undoubtedly one of the hardest things we’ll ever try to pull off as a band. That said, it’s going to so much fun, so get your Oyster cards topped up and we’ll see you there.”
