It’s been long rumoured and there’s even been informal votes of sorts on social media asking which bands should play it, but the return of the Vans Warped Tour to the UK for 2015 is now officially confirmed. Two years after the last UK leg of the Warped Tour saw the likes of Rise Against, Crossfaith and Enter Shikari almost level Alexandra Palace, Warped UK is returning to do it all again! It will once again take up residence at it’s usual UK home of Alexandra Palace in London on the 18th of October 2015.
The festival’s founder Kevin Lyman issued this short, sharp statement:
“Due to popular demand and the ability to put together a stellar line-up, we look forward to bring the Vans Warped Tour back to the UK”.
The first announcement of the Vans Warped Tour UK Line Up will be made on the 17th of June – just after the end of the Download Festival – nicely timed as far as we’re concerned.
As well as putting on a full weekend of brilliant music in 2013, The UK leg of the warped tour also raised valuable funds and donations for various London and UK charities such as the Trussell Trust (foodbank charity) and Islington Foodbank, as well as the Teenage Cancer Trust. Hopefully these aspects of the festival will continue in 2015. There was also a full blown merchandise market, a signing area, competitions and many other things going on – all of which we can hope to find again in this years’ edition.
