14 New Bands For Download Festival 2016 Headed By All Time Low & Napalm Death

Download Announcement time again! We somewhat get the feeling that Team Download’s hand was forced this time after All Time Low dropped the bombshell live on stage in London on Thursday that they would be performing at Download 2016. Team Rock Sins has long speculated All Time Low as a possible second stage headliner and so it has come to pass, as Jack and the boys will headline the Zippo Encore Stage on the Friday night.

On top of that massive bit of news – we’ve also got thirteen other bands for you. Grindcore legends Napalm Death will get to play their part in closing Download in the heaviest possible way as they headline the fourth stage (tiny tent) on the Sunday night – meaning there is an absolute glut of choice for Sunday night headliners with Napalm Death, Saxon, Jane’s Addiction and of course Iron Maiden. We imagine some people will be doing A LOT of running around.

Continuing the headliner theme, punk legends Pennywise are also going to be on headliner duties, headlining the 3rd stage (big tent) on Saturday night. We imagine a lot of people will be hoping for no overlap between them and NOFX, or more running could be involved.

11 more to go! We’ve got The Temperance Movement joining the main (Lemmy) stage on Sunday, post-hardcore legends Glassjaw appearing on the Zippo Encore Stage on Friday, fresh from their recent trip to the UK which blew many minds, and also Swedish party rockers Royal Republic on the same stage on Saturday. Howard Jones and the rest of Devil You Know will also be there, as will Scorpion Child, The Raven Age, Weirds, The Shrine, Buck & Evans and Scattering Ashes. Lastly British rock legends The Wildhearts will be returning to Download for the third time in the festival’s history.

So that’s your latest 14 bands, who join the likes of Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Rammstein, Megadeth, KoRn, Nightwish, Disturbed, Deftones and many many more at the 2016 Download Festival. Tickets have been held at 2015 prices until Thursday 19th of February, so act quickly to secure your cheaper tickets.
