Megadeth & Steven Wilson Hit The Top 30 In The UK Album Charts

The first major metal album release of the year bring the first piece of UK metal chart success! Big four thrash legends Megadeth have just narrowly missed out on a place in the Top 10 of the album chart with their new album Dystopia but still come in at a very respectable 11th. This is a big improvement on the showing of last album, the somewhat dubious Super Collider, which charted at number 22, and is in fact Megadeth’s best showing in the UK charts for over 20 years since Youthanasia hit number six in the mid 90’s.

Megadeth are joined by Porcupine Tree maestro and general prog rock legend Steven Wilson, who’s new album 4 1/2 just missed out on the top 20, coming in at number 21. Having taken over London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall for two nights in the Autumn of 2015, things are just going from strength to strength for Steven’s solo career, and long may it continue!

With more huge albums out this week including the new offerings from Bury Tomorrow and Dream Theater, fingers crossed for more metal chart success this week! As always you’ll be able to read about it here at Rock Sins.
