As the gates of the wonderful Donington open tomorrow lunchtime, we’re having something of a Download Festival video of the week special this time around. We’ve got brand new videos from four bands who will be gracing the hallowed turf of Castle Donington, plus a brand new video from a band who’ve entertained the Download masses many times in recent years. Who will follow Swedish metallers 100 Years who triumphed in the last video of the week contest? Let’s find out…
First up are UK metalcore outfit Counting Days. Set to tear apart The Dogtooth Tent on Friday, their 360 degree video for Prison Of Misery is quite the experience to watch. Even more so if you try and bang your head as hard as possible whilst watching.
Taking things to the desolate seaside seems like the perfect location for a video from Bristol goths Ashestoangels, who like Counting Days make their Download debut this year. Down We Go is a perfect taste of what you can hear in the Dogtooth Tent on Sunday afternoon if Disturbed are not your thing.
Heavy as f*** and as documented previously here at Rock Sins, Cane Hill are one of the most hyped up bands of the year thus far. Do they deserve it? You can decide for yourselves by checking out the video for True Love. See them tearing up the Dogtooth Tent on Saturday evening.
French titans Gojira are our last Download performers to have a clip featured this week. The magnificent Silvera from their forthcoming Magma album is sure to become a favourite amongst the Gojira faithful, and now here is a chance to make it your video of the week! See them in the Maverick Tent on Sunday afternoon – just after Ashestoangels have finished.
Last but not least, Download mainstays (but not this year, unless they rock up unannounced), A Day To Remember have just announced the details of their new album Bad Vibrations. To celebrate, we’ve got the video for the title track as our final choice for this weeks’ video of the week!
The vote closes at 12pm midday on Tuesday 14th June (UK time). Ready, set, go!
