With a line up already boasting some of the finest classic rock (old and new), prog, country and blues bands, the 2016 Ramblin’ Man Fair Festival has a line up that will appeal to an awful lot of people. But the organisers aren’t finished yet, as they’ve just decided to add another stage and a whole lot more bands.
Ramblin’ Man’s fourth stage will be called The Rising Stage, and will be dedicated to showcasing the talents of up and coming British bands of varying sizes and sounds. The twelve bands invited to take to The Rising Stage are Colour of Noise, Cats in Space, Massive Wagons, City of Thieves, The Naked Six, Mason Hill, Dirty Thrills, Illustr8tors, StoneBroken, Will Wilde, Wicked Stone and Bigfoot.
One of the team behind Ramblin’ Man, Chris Ingham, offers us these thoughts about the newest additions to the festival:
“With all the concerns over our collective tomorrows with the Brexit, Ramblin’ Man Fair invites you to chill out and take a more reassuring view of the UK’s horizon. Having seen all these bands kick out the jams recently, we can predict with an absolute certainty that the future of UK rock ‘n roll is secure. It’s a diverse line-up: a true mix of styles across two days, but it’s absolutely packed with quality. Miss ’em at your peril!”
With more established bands ranging from headliners Black Stone Cherry and Whitesnake to the likes of Europe, The Zombies and Devin Townsend’s Casualties of Cool project, Ramblin’ Man is a festival aiming to cater for audience members of all types from their home in Mote Park in Maidstone (Kent).
