As we’re now just only three weeks away from the gates opening at the wonderful Catton Hall for Bloodstock Open Air 2016, we’ve got news of a whole load of new bands joining the festival line up. Some of the new bands have won their way onto the bill via Bloodstock’s now legendary Metal 2 The Masses series of competitions while others have been invited to play the Jagermeister Stage at the festival.
In no particular order, joining the line up on the Hobgoblin New Blood Stage at Thrashers Redeye Revival, death metal outfit End Of Salvation, fellow death metallers The Face Of Ruin and stoner rock outfit Regulus. Also on board are Polish deathcore mob The John Doe’s Burial, midlands rockers Firebomb, fellow rock outfit Valous and (with possibly the most ridiculous genre label we’ve ever heard) “street mafia geek metal” outfit Chronicles. Footprints In The Custard will also be appearing courtesy of winning the Hobgoblin video upload contest.
Meanwhile, over on the Jagermeister stage new bands would including Yorkshire hard rock outfit Chasing Dragons, Brighton natives Vrona, Manchester duo The Hyena Kill, and Corby metallers Fuelled Hate. Also getting to play Bloodstock this year are Irish sludge outfit Two Tales Of Woe, fellow Irish act Zlantaneray, Yorkshire metal act Broken and their neighbours Pulverise. Rounding out this crop of bands are more homegrown talents like Vicious Nature, Vice, Cybernetic Witchcult, Outright Resistance, Jukebox Monkey, Sodomized Cadaver, Dirty King and Aklash. Lastly, Scottish rockers Attica Rage will take to the Jagermeister stage at BoA 2016.
Bloodstock have also introduced a very handy merchandise pre-ordering service for this years’ event. Anyone who wants to pre-order their BoA stash in advance and not have to worry about carrying large amounts of money for merch can do so at https://bmerch.com/store/bloodstock/collect-on-site.
All of the above bands join headliners Twisted Sister (their last ever UK show), Mastodon and Slayer, plus special guests Behemoth (performing The Satanist in full), Gojira and Anthrax, plus dozens more bands across the four stages and four days of Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2016. Limited tickets remain and can be obtained from https://bloodstock.seetickets.com/event/bloodstock-2016/catton-park/902838. Stay tuned for our Bloodstock 2016 festival preview in the coming days.
