It’s time for another video of the week contest. Following on from the last instalment which saw Manchester horror metallers take home the winners trophy, we’ve got another six videos for our readers to pick from this time.
Where else could we start this week other than with nu-metal legends KoRn and their video for Rotting In Vain. With a clip starring Sons Of Anarchy actor Tommy Flanagan and with frontman Jonathan Davis in typically effervescent form, Rotting In Vain is a song and a video you’ll probsbly be watching (and listening to) again and again.
The first of two home grown bands in this weeks contest, Surrey rockers Cavalier are a relatively new band to us here at Rock Sins. They might be new, but they’ve definitely got some hooks to their songs such as Come Home. Check out the video from the self professed “boybandpunx” and see if they will get your vote for this weeks’ contest.
Staying with up and coming British talent, Blackpool rockers Boston Manor have just announced the release of their debut album Be Nothing for the end of September. The first single from that album is Laika, that comes with a video that a lot of people would be able to relate to. If Boston Manor are your pick for top video this week make sure to click the button for them!
A futuristic video involving some rather challenging weather and an individual who reminds me a tad of a white walker from Game of Thrones accompany the latest single, Selves We Cannot Forgive from US metallers Black Crown Initiate. Very visually impressive and the song isn’t half bad either from where we’re listening.
If you want a video with a humourous back story, look no further than Crobot’s latest offering for single Not For Sale, which all came about as a result of a misheard lyrics. The result was “a video full of Dads” (we’ll leave you, our good readers, to do some digging if you want the full story on this one). Crobot’s new album is out in September and if it’s anything like Not For Sale, it’ll be another cracker.
We started with one huge American band and we’re going to finish with another. Five Finger Death Punch’s new video for latest single I Apologize is likely to stir emotions with many people for different reasons, so we won’t say too much more except that you should watch it and judge for yourselves. FFDP are likely to split opinion with this video as they usually do, but what else is new?!
So there we are. Who will win? Over to you, the readers. Voting closes at 12pm midday on Wednesday 3rd August (UK time).
