It’s been almost two weeks since Surrey rockers Cavalier took home the gong for winning the last Rock Sins video of the week, so we thought it was about time for the next instalment!
First up this time are a favourite of certain members of the Rock Sins staff. Post-hardcore outfit with an artful difference, Touché Amoré have always done things differently. That continues with Palm Dreams, a song about frontman Jeremy Bolm dealing with the loss of his mother and clearing out her house afterwards. A video and song that will connect with people on different levels, and at barely over two and a half minutes long, there’s no excuse for not checking it out.
From the US to Japan and from Touché Amoré to Crossfaith. The Japanese dance metal masters recently dropped a surprise new EP called New Age Warriors. One of the tracks from that EP, Rx Overdrive, has found its way into this weeks video of the week contest. It’s a typically frenetic video from one of the best bands to emerge over the last few years and invokes memories of The Matrix in places. Get watching.
Next up are British metalcore outfit Confessions Of A Traitor. An extremely impressive live band who’ve supported the likes of Malefice and Chapters in recent times, they bring their new video for the single Through Struggle, Hope Will Anchor Our Souls to our attention. Very good we think it is too. Will it be your video of the week? Watch it and decide for yourselves.
South coast outfit Lit Like Vegas are also included this week with their video for new single Drawing All The Lines. Having supported bands from Heart Of A Coward to (HED)Pe, Lit Like Vegas know how to impress in the flesh and are continuing to do so with their new single.
Last up this week are Yorkshire collective Servers, with the video for their new track To Hell We Go. A flurry of chugging bass, tech metal inspired riffery and powerful vocals from Lee Storrar (aka Server #01), Servers offer something a little bit different. See for yourselves.
Who will win? That’s up to you, the readers. The vote closes at Midday on Wednesday 17th of August, so get choose your favourites now!
