When news broke a couple of days ago that Richmond, Virginia’s finest metal export Lamb of God were to release a new EP before the end of the year a lot of people got very excited. But that excitement was then tempered with the understanding of just why Randy Blythe and co were releasing this particular, very special EP. Titled The Duke, it features a song of the same name which is a dedication to a friend of Randy’s named Wayne Ford who passed away from cancer. Rather than do the story an injustice by telling only a small part of it, we would invite our readers to head to Lamb of God’s official website and read the full story about Wayne and his involvement with Randy and the inspiration for the EP on this link – https://lamb-of-god.com/theduke/.
Lamb of God subsequently released the audio stream for the title track from The Duke a short time ago, and you can listen below:
The Duke EP will be released on the 18th of November, with a vinyl release to follow a week later. Lamb of God are currently gearing up for a set of shows in Australia supporting Slipknot.
